Just a hello

Post by HalifaxNS » Sat Oct 10, 2020 9:57 am

Hello all
I used to frequent this forum awhile ago, atleast 7 years I'd say.
Around 2014 my obsessive mind switched from watches to cruise ships (take a guess how that's going these days :crybaby: ) although I still love the watches I own I stopped drooling and buying.
Getting back into it slightly, I've been searching for the perfect grab-and-go watch. No date, retro style, acrylic crystal, heritage lume, beat all to hell and on a rustic light brown leather strap.
Right now I'm thinking a Lorier Neptune 3, black/gilt.
Only thing I really don't like is the modern colour lume, may pick up a used one and get it relumed somewhere somehow.

Anywho I mainly wanted to say hi, I'm seeing many familiar names still active here.

A very strong contender BUT way too shiny, even the bezel is high gloss, I want something I can beat up. A very beautiful watch though, I do however wish the hour hand looked more different than the minute.

Thinking about grab and go...what about something from Sinn although not having all your requirements-- like a Military type IV, 356 or 103 on a strap ( acrylic crystals) or a quartz UX??? or maybe something like a Rado Captain Cook on a brown strap?

Yes,welcome back !

It's interesting how things go, and can send you in different directions,
and on different journeys. Now it just sounds like you have come back
home. So cool ! 8-) Speaking of cool, it's really nice how you are just
enjoying the watches you have already. It's like you are on 'cruise' control !
Although those Neptunes are neat that's for sure.

Whatever you decide on, it's great to see you back Jerel !!!
