Re: New OPs
I think putting out a 41mm OP in lieu of the 39mm may have been a mistake. Beyond the double markers on the dial, which I just don't like, 39mm is a really nice size for a "simple bezel, all dial" watch. I wonder if it will look disproportionate.
At any rate, if I were in the market, I'd try to snap up one of the white or black dialed 39mm OPs before they're gone. Those are seriously nice looking watches.

old and tired looking imho... I am so off Rolex and their perpetual BS

Re: New OPs
I'll stick w/my 39. It is a perfect size for me, and no reason to go bigger, not to mention those colors are bad.
Re: New OPs
Are other colors available? I don’t particularly want Doxa colors on a Rolex
Re: New OPs
Cool. I could see myself trying on the blue one. we'll see.

The more the merrier, or the more variations the merrier.
Think it's just fun seeing some different looks, and colors really. This way you
still have the classic, or classics. But then something new as well, and can bet
they look even better in person too. ..Thanks so much for the report Azteck !!!

My thoughts too, still looks too 'blocky' for me

Re: New OPs
I still like my "old blocky" ND and it has 20mm lugs! Maybe they should be 42mm.

Me too! I think old blocky looks great on a strap with its big beautiful size 904L‘s poking out!MDF wrote:I still like my "old blocky" ND and it has 20mm lugs! Maybe they should be 42mm.
Re: New OPs
these are new? when did they come out? how many diamond dial/precious metal pieces do I have to buy to get a stainless steel sub?
Re: New OPs
This. They’re always late to the party given their conservative updates. When everyone now seems to be downsizing case size, Rolex is going on the opposite direction. The new movement is the best update to come out of this IMO.Panerai7 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 31, 2020 4:14 pmIt’s like they listen but takes a long time
Now what else was on my wishlist?
IWC pilots without stupid windshield wiper date window - check
Larger sub with normal lugs - check
Speedy with matte ceramic bezel - supposedly next year
44mm 1389/1305 - still waiting
Screw down crowns Polaris - still waiting
41-42mm Explorer 1 - waiting
Ceramic bezel Explorer 2 - waiting
42mm 2254 reissue - waiting

Re: New OPs
I actually kind of like the yellow dial OP. Reminds me of the vintage Stella dials.
