Slightly spontaneous purchase

Post by goaliechris » Sun Jul 19, 2020 2:38 pm

I saw a watch a few months ago and it really drew my interest as the look was so different. It was a collaboration between Louis Erard and Alain Silberstein. Forgot about it then saw it again via Watchville. Im a big fan of Herman Miller stuff, the Eames chair - that kind of design language of that mid century modern or Bauhaus look. So I pulled the trigger today. Only 178 available each in white or black. I chose the white.

Starts to ship next month!

Stupid autocorrect- not Alan Silverstein (ha!)

That’s fun. Alain Silberstein appealed to me immediately when I was first getting into watches. But makes sense, since I’ve never really cared for “simplicity” in watches (first watched that brought me into the hobby were the Bond chrono and the Breitling Navitimer).

Looking forward to your impressions when it arrives.

So, squiggly yellow is seconds, big blue is minutes, red triangle is hours, and little silver at 9 o’clock is AM/PM?

Looks like modern art born as a watch. Very interesting.

Almost perfect - little silver is the power reserve. Manual movement.
