Bell and Ross 2020

Post by stonehead887 » Thu Jul 02, 2020 9:57 am

Hi guys,

I know Bell & Ross get a mixed reception sometimes but I think with some of this years releases, they are knocking it out of the park!

By keeping to the original design codes and focusing on the 42mm case, they really are getting back to, for me, their core design concept.

Some features are now standard. 42mm case size, all black cases are now fully ceramic and 100m or 300m water resistant.

We have the HUD which takes its cue from Head Up displays in cockpits, a very cool White Camo and my now new favourite i am quite excited about, the full lume ceramic diver.ImageImageImageImageImage

The full lume model has me all excited. I’ll wait to see the upcoming Sinn WB LE and decide which I prefer.

How big does the 42mm case wear?

Small from my recollection. It’s 42mm square so bezel is more like 39-40

Thanks, Ed; it's the rounded corner to rounded corner length I'm "concerned" about.

Have to agree Jeremy, all of these look like home runs really, and

love every one actually ! :salute:

The specifications are always top notch, and so are the designs.
Holy cow, not sure have seen the HUD up until today either. :o
Thank you ! ..Wouldn't mind having that, or ANY of these to be
honest !

Thanks so very much for the news, along with look !!!

They do wear quite well. I have fairly small wrists but no problem for me. The case on standard 03 is actually just over 10mm so its quite thin.
Not sure how much extra height on the dive bezel.

Me too. I was actually planning on getting the white camo but then the full lume dropped. I think it looks stunning. Bell and Ross boutique in Paris say the pics don't really do it justice, it has to been seen to fully appreciate the dial.

Here it is on my 6.5" wrist. Wears wide, but it has a short L2L.

Initially I wanted this reference, but now I really want one of the new full-lume options. Have always really liked these guys, but yeah – they get kinda crucified by the community for whatever reason.

Guess you would need to convert to $ but in UK from £2800 for camo up to £3800 for diver

I've always wanted to try one but I worry about the massively wide strap making it look larger. Is it like a big cuff on the wrist?

Short answer is no

I’ve had several of the 42’s and they wear awesome (7” wrist). I got more complements on my B&R’s than any other watches, though... not because they are bigger, but because they are different.

Love the brand as well.. high quality stuff

I love the look, a la the Heuer Night Diver, but at $4500 might wait until these hit the secondary market before trying one.

I recall reading the lume model is a LE.

Like these as well as the standard black diver..

The round dial model- R.S.19 is cool, too.

Anybody know a good B&R retailer who'll flex on price? I don't feel like they've got any of the usual suspects in their retail network.

I talked to a dealer in Europe (name escapes me) and while they will remove VAT, they won’t discount the LE lume model. It’s $4k USD + customs duty.

Copped one a couple weeks ago, and then coincidentally got 'the call' for a Blancpain. Gonna be a catch-and-release, but I'll be damned if it's not extremely cool. Just listed on WUS, but would be rad to keep it in the fam if anyone's game.
