Yema's Superman 63 and Flygraf Pilot

Post by AtomicTom » Mon Jun 29, 2020 9:04 pm

Not sure if all of you guys already knew about these new Yema watches.

First there is the Superman 63 with choice of a 39mm, or 41mm stainless
steel case, sapphire crystal, 300M WR, black dial, Tropic rubber, leather
strap, or stainless steel bracelet, and Sellita SW200.

Then there is the new Flygraf Pilot with it's 39mm stainless steel case,
sapphire crystal, 300M WR, black, or gray dials, leather, and canvas
strap choices, plus MBP1000 automatic movement too.

Really like the brushed look on the pilot case, and the dial/hands are great too.

Yema's Superman 63 and Flygraf Pilot

Yes, the pilot can work for me if it’s a chunky 39mm case and screw crown.

I also hope for normal sized 20mm lugs. Edit: 19mm lugs. Ugh.

Seems reasonably priced too.

Cool that they kept the jetliner logo from the vintage Flygraf chronos.

Am with you guys, the pilot is the sleeper hit among the two possibly.
Not that the diver isn't extra awesome too, but it's just that the pilot
is refreshing to see right?! Just is a nice look between the dial,
and that brushed bezel like you are saying. Almost has a Royal Oak
feel with that brushing.

Really wish they had the 20mm lugs, as well as date window for you guys,
but hey, they do have that cool jetliner on there for you like Steve said. :)

So glad you enjoyed, and thanks so so much for your thoughts everyone !

I’d warn everyone as a “friend” to read the WUs thread on Yema WC and CS issues
I have had a very bad experience but it seems I’m not the only one.

Brice - I saw your comments about Yema here on DWC, but only after I had ordered my Superman. Had I seen your comments first I likely would not have gone through with it, but am happy to say it arrived and seems that all is good. My friend Dave T here also bought one at the same time, and as far as I've heard he had no issues with his either. Luck of the draw I guess.

I think they may have given some watches to the mods at some of the Facebook groups. Anything negative about Yema is quickly shouted down and removed. I forget which of the groups this was, unfortunately.

Superman doesn’t look bad. Nice size. The macro photos of the case aren’t doing them any favors though... finishing looks a little crude.

The Superman wears great. On paper the dimensions are the same as my BB58, but the mid case and bracelet on the Yema are much thinner, so it wears smaller and lighter. I really like it. As far as the finish, my case is polished, so I guess that's hard to mess up. The bracelet is mostly brushed, and the finish is good. Not as good as my Tudor, but it cost a third as much. I almost passed without even seeing the negative reviews, simply because I haven't always done well with lesser known brands, but I'm glad I took a chance.

I have the Heritage Flygraf Chrono and have had zero complaints but I purchased it through Worn and Wound's Windup Shop. Its super clean, easy to wear.
