New 40mm IWC Portugieser

Post by logan2z » Sun Apr 26, 2020 8:05 am

This may be a welcome release to those who find that the 'standard' Portugieser wears too large. This new release is 40mm with an in-house movement (automatic 82200) and comes in several dial/hand color combinations. Priced at $7250 in steel.

Wow, that looks fantastic... although the price is fantastic too - at least for me...

But I really like it.

That’s beautiful. Nice size, great blue, and no date.

Other than that price like Carlo said, this one rocks Andrew ! 8-)

Seriously is flawless all the way around, and I bet the crown
adds a few millimeters too. It's as perfect as perfect can get. :)
Thanks very much for the look at it sir. Really appreciate it !

That’s a nice looking watch! Size might be ideal. Price is a little much for me. Maybe pick up one someone’s flipping in a couple years.

That's a winner. A little to rich for my blood though.

Hot!

But boring.

Sometimes the problem with designing a perfect watch is that it just becomes a little too vanilla? I have never even tried this on, and I can already imagine this one just sitting in the watchbox being admired but never worn.

The blue is awesome. I’ve worn the original and love it, no size issue. Definitely not your grannies bloomers, unless you’re into that sort of thing.

I'd call it 'simple and elegant' but that may be someone else's 'boring' ;)

Simple and elegant is EVERYONE'S "boring"... it's just that some people are also boring themselves!

I love the original as well and almost bought it, but felt it wore a bit like a dinner plate on my wrist. I went with the GO Senator Observer instead, but still do like the IWC. I'm looking forward to trying on the 40mm version whenever that's possible.

they look nice, I would love to try one on, but I don't see it getting much time in the watch rotation so no danger of me dropping any money on one.
