New Panerai 1117
My first reaction when I saw their new tron watch has “70 years warranty” on the case back.

Very cool. And yes, Tron is/was seriously cool. But $19 grand for a day-glo Tron watch?

Re: New Panerai 1117
It has a 70 year warranty because they built the next 7-10 services into that price.

Panerai is officially over

Have to agree with this. From one of the hottest watch companies in the world to a joke in just a few years...Panerai7 wrote:Panerai is officially over

Panerai CEO Jean-Marc Pontroué is staying true to his roots.... he did the same thing when was with Roger Dubuis

The question is who was it that looked at his previous job at RD (does anyone even buy those) and said let's give him Panerai?rockmastermike wrote: ↑Sun Apr 26, 2020 4:25 pmPanerai CEO Jean-Marc Pontroué is staying true to his roots.... he did the same thing when was with Roger Dubuis
Just as bad as some chick from a jewelry line now running JLC, can't wait for a diamond encrusted follow up to Polaris with still missing screw down crowns
Re: New Panerai 1117
I just can't believe Panerai jumped the shark like this. For a long time, they were far and away my favorite brand. Then came a million models in the range, reissues of supposed LEs/SEs, snap-on casebacks, and then this. Dang.

Re: New Panerai 1117
Yowza, that is really something Nick ! 70 Years?!! ..Amazing !
Have to hand it to Panerai, their quality is evidently out of this world.
Plus it does look like they are trying some different things which is
cool to see imho. Hadn't seen these to be honest. Thanks so much !
