Jealousy is to be expected when a husband tastes some strange muffin.

If I were able to taste both muffins I could give an unbiased opinion.

Does you sister in law bake? If so, I’ll gladly taste hers too.

I working on some Django Reinhardt's Gypsy Jazz tunes. They are fast/fun and will be a great addition to my song list.
Like your Rashaan avatar. Might have to pull out his Mercury recordings. Classics

He was a wizard on the flute with the perfect airy jazz tone.

Did some pickled eggs out of boredom. Will write a recipe for curried-pickled eggs next go around, if I remember.

I did a heavy aromatic batch utilizing some old pickling spice I had so they're full flavored and somewhat pungent, plus the onions and garlic are a plus for grazing. 24 eggs done. One container with 3 tablespoons of chili flake for some spice, the other regular for the kiddo.

Pickling spice, some added mustard seeds, fresh garlic, onions, dill, kosher salt, sugar, and a blend of apple cider and unseasoned (dry) rice vinegar. Fresh Turkish bay leaves from my buddies tree.

I had to make a quick Covid run for the onion and some dill. Now I wait...

I think that's the secret; you don't have to make it "right" - just close enough.

Like the molding corners that don’t quite fit and look like they would have fit great if someone had taken a couple minutes with a file or sandpaper? Lazy. Just lazy.

yeah.

or like where they took out a wall, and instead of fixing the plaster between the two rooms, they put a drop ceiling in the kitchen that runs across where that wall used to be.

or where my electrical panel has circuits that when i cut them off, turn off outlets in 3 different rooms on two different floors. but not all of the outlets in any of those rooms.

Ha! Reminds me of my old house. There was such a rat's nest of wiring it is an absolute wonder the house never burned down.

When we renovated the house, we actually tore down the section that had the worst electrical offenses. I was glad to see it gone so I didn't have to get the "you are a shithead" glare from my electrician.
