Global slow down...
Re: Global slow down...
All these talking points is just entertainment as this point. Let the TDS flow through you!
I’m not a fan of “two weeks” Hannity at all, and I rarely watch fox unless I’m traveling for business. Tucker is not bad actually and sometimes has good points he can back-up.
Let’s see who hates who once dems try and selfishly stuff pork into today’s bill. Today is going to blow big! We thought last week was bad. I’m actually a bit scared of this week.

People are losing their minds. BIGLY.
Go for a walk or beat your meat. Figure it out.

Re: Global slow down...
Dems selfishly stuffing pork in the bill? That’s some Fox propaganda right there. The bill as is hands out hundreds of billions to companies without commitments to avoid layoffs or wage cuts. Who’s that going to hurt?
One example included: it allows bail outs for Trump owned hotels at his discretion! He refused to say he’d refrain from taking federal aid.
And it allows them to conceal the identities of bailout recipients for six months.
The bill as is doesn’t serve the public interest. That’s your interest.
But call it pork, if you will. Because we always need to muddy the waters, promote disinformation, someone to blame and hate, even in a pandemic. Thanks Fox.
BTW, without mainstream media we’d never see the problems with this bill. It’d pass as is no questions asked.
And mainstream media is any news outlet but Fox.

You’ve clearly lost your shit
Re: Global slow down...
Because the dems would never try and play politics in a time like this and delay a bill! Never! They always have the best interest of American workers at heart unlike those hatred-filled, greedy, sneaky republicans.
Ok, I’m really done with this thread. Good luck everyone! Stay safe.

Do you even read what I write? Are you okay with the bailout bill as is? Are you a corporate exec?
I’m out also. Too exhausting.

Since you’re foot doc, maybe find a psychologist with foot problems and offer to do a swap of services. You need this. It’s gonna be ok. I’ll send you a MAGA hat to wear to your appointments, so your friends won’t recognize you.aikiman44 wrote:Do you even read what I write? Are you okay with the bailout bill as is? Re: Global slow down...
You ninja edited. Your entire original post was something like “protecting the working class is not pork”
EDIT: I'm not okay with any funds whatsoever. I'll likely be giving my money - because my household barely made the cut based on 2018 taxes - to a business owner friend who needs it more than me right now.
Sorry, I’m out. Too much stress today as is.

You guys put in a lot of work before I could even get to a computer...
I spent this morning setting up the smoker for pulled pork since we're WFH anyway. If you'll all promise to keep politics to a minimum, we can continue without having to make me take time to cleanse this whole thread.

Re: Global slow down...
Is there any thing to bail out the cruise industry who were so greedy were one ship dropped off a boat load of infected passengers to get quarantined then same ship picked up more passengers with out cleaning ship good enough plus infective crew and another boat load of passengers to quarantine due to greed why do those greedy fools need our tax money. Now how many cruises ships got a boat load of this virus and spread it in the USA . Maybe the workers on the cruise ships could use a little help not the a-holes who owns them who due to greed did not stop operation fast enough and even did repeats with the same infected ships. How many cruise ships are out at sea right now we’re no country will let there passengers off. Screw them don’t give them a dime. Maybe the hold off is right if the cruise ship industry on the list of my tax payers money. Our bail out money sure can help pay the law suits coming to the cruise ship industry every passenger who were screwed due to this virus will be suing them. Why should the us tax payer pay for law suits with the bail out money. Let the cruise ship industry go belly up don’t give then a dime of my tax money.
Re: Global slow down...
You’d have to be crazy to go on a cruise.

Re: Global slow down...
If the US bails out the cruise ship industry with our tax money in this bill they should give every American a free cruise but most after the virus cruises will probably turn down this offer
Re: Global slow down...
Corona virus notwithstanding, except for maybe a cruise aboard a small, "boutique" ship, it never appealed to me.
I'd also be down for a cruise to a truly exotic destination, e.g. Antarctica. Other than that, it's a hard pass for me.

Me too. I can't imagine waiting for hours in lines to get on and off, then having a tiny cabin.
I went with my son to Sea Base when he was in Boy Scouts. Trip of a lifetime.

Our Government here in Australia, last night announced the nationwide closure of all restaurants, pubs/bars, clubs, casinos, gyms, churches/places of worship, cafes. All of the beaches in Sydney are closed, you may have seen images from Bondi Beach. Take out/way is permitted, but no seated patrons in any establishment.
Overnight whole sectors of the employment community have been snap frozen closed.
Today, after our Government announced huge $ in the way of stimulus packages to soften the blow and assist those affected, many headed on line and to the Gov't employment offices. The system crashed and there were images that I haven't seen since the last major recession in the late 90's, with huge lines trailing down the streets from these offices.
As a old soldier who's spent more time than I'd like in the worlds shit holes, I'm getting a pretty bad read about this rapidly emerging situation, and the gut feel I have while getting around. Think I'll be wearing Seiko's for the foreseeable future. Stay safe out there.

Have the bums in SF stopped shitting on the sidewalk yet? Pretty much the norm in many areas of the U.S. Most non-essential businesses are restricting traffic or closing down even where it's not mandated by law.sierra11b wrote: ↑Mon Mar 23, 2020 10:43 amSounds like California.93 Turbo wrote: ↑Mon Mar 23, 2020 10:31 amOur Government here in Australia, last night announced the nationwide closure of all restaurants, pubs/bars, clubs, casinos, gyms, churches/places of worship, cafes.
