new todd rexford nato strap
I know this could technically belong in the knife forum, but I thought it was cool enough to share here.
I recently worked with the San Francisco team at Triple Aught Design on launching this wild new USA-made NATO strap with titanium hardware custom-milled by Todd Rexford. Just 20mm for now, but more colors and sizes are in the pipeline. Really proud of how my shots got used on this project.
Check out the product page for more shots (looks like the all-matte one sold out real quickly), and a tour of Todd's own Colorado workshop. Turns out he's a Bremont man

$275!
Never thought I’d see a NATO strap surpass the price of omega NATO straps.
Congrats on the pics.

I think what happened was, your photos were SO good that they jacked the original price of $55, up to $275!!

Something I just realized.
If this was a Panerai buckle without TAD symbol — I would pay that.
Great pics btw

Sorry - that price is not defensible

Wow, they did a phenomenal job, and so did you Zach. Some terrific pics !
The texture, along with detail is really something, and can imagine that
they are even more beautiful in person, if that's possible. They look really
nice.
You know what would be cool?! Is if we started seeing more of the knife
companies doing things like this. Or maybe even creating some watches !
I know there are a ton of knife companies out there. Imagine?!
Thanks a lot for sharing Zach !

Exactly
And Todd Rexford is a legend
The only fly in the ointment is that tad logo. Matter of principle for me.

If they could mill mini picatinny rails on the keepers so I could attach miniature stuff would be OCD gear freak cool...

Thanks to Zach and the guys at TAD, I've got a new go-to beater. Great strap in the flesh, hardware makes it unique and a great pairing with the Pelagos.

Looks like an excellent combo Matt!
Some questions:
Would you please lay it out next to a Maratac nato for size comparison, to show both (a) the overall length and (b) the location of the hardware relative to Maratac?
Is yours the matte logo or polished logo? I assume both are matte finish titanium hardware.
How much does it stretch when completely wet, relative to the Maratac?
Is the BB58 ready to come home now since you’ve got this new daily beater?
Thanks

This from the TAD product page:
“The webbing path's bezier curve through Quantum's buckle was carefully engineered to minimize torquing. The dual-bevel ramp features additional recessing on the sides for axial flex, and an angled pawl keeps the buckle as flat as possible under your wrist.”
Interesting random factoid:
The Bezier Curve is what gives Apple products their unique shape at the corners. It’s such an Apple thing that the Italian stone exterior walls of their Seattle flagship store also feature this same curve, as to handrails and other curved surfaces.

Great match on the hardware color. Still too much money for a nato (for me).
