New Citizen Promaster GMT

Post by AtomicTom » Wed Jan 22, 2020 11:09 am

Did anyone see this new Citizen Promaster GMT? Just recently saw it.

The new GMT has a 44mm stainless steel case, 200m WR, an AR coated
sapphire crystal, ion plated diver's bezel, black dials with luminous hands,
and markers, and choice of blue, and red accents, blue, and green touches,
or black, and orange too. In addition, the movement is the Eco-Drive B877,
and you have stainless steel bracelets too.

Just a few pictures...

That orange is cool, but barf for the other colors.

You know what had thought was nice about these guys?!

Was how you got the classic GMT feel, and even pepsi style, and more.
But with a unique modern twist. I mean they look kind of wild like you
are saying, but also these pictures are a little big too. So maybe the
watch, or watches are a little more tame in person. :)

Thanks just for looking guys, and for your honesty too !

I'd love to grab a Citizen Ecodrive GMT watch, but damn, they all suck!

I agree with Joe on this one.

I travel a lot and I prefer dive watches, so I tend to like diver GMT's, but these just suck.

I don't need both the GMT scale and minute tracks on the oversized rehaut (and yet again minute tracks on the bezel).

Put the minute track on a fully indexed bezel insert as God and the MOD intended and a discreet GMT scale on the rehaut.

Agree... and just TRY to do it with a 42mm or 40mm diameter and don't go crazy with the color pallete.

And I feel the exact opposite lol- that orange is too stark. Looks like something Luminox would do. The Pepsi is pleasing and the blue/green is just different enough for me.

Pepsi would look better with SS bezel and crown. Orange is the one I like the most, but would also do an SS crown and white numbers on the bezel, leaving only the triangle in orange.

Way too much of everything for me. Even the markers are large given all that is going on...just appears very busy.
