Hello

Post by trangiang » Fri Jan 03, 2020 5:57 pm

Hi, I'm new to the forum. Some of you may have seen me as SynMike on a few other forums. Located in Vancouver BC Canada. I've been interested in watches since I bought my first Caravelle with my life savings of $32 as a kid in the 70s. But I've been more hooked for the past 2 years. I'm a musician - watches is a 2nd hobby.

I've got a few dive watches, a bunch of diver style watches, and some desk divers. I'll post some pictures along the way. Total about a dozen diver style out of my collection of about 50 watches. I like to have a wide variety. Brands I've bought most are Invicta, Zodiac, Oris, Tag Heuer, and Omega. I don't care about price, no snobbery from me, I know what I like, I have watches I got for $10 on ebay up to Omega.

I am a watch flipper. My main supplier is my wife's liquidation company, I can flip back to her if I need cash to get something else that interests me more.

Regards,
Pitter

Welcome. No watch snobbery here... The resident ballers enjoy a good low-end seiko like the rest of us. We need more watch flippers here... stick around.

Is your name really Pitter? I’ve never seen that before.

Sorry for the snobbery but I like to wear my Seiko tuna in the summer when I’m mowing the lawn in a sleeveless shirt and gym shorts whilst drinking Coors light. And no underwear.

I’ve outgrown the more the better variety stage. Quality over quantity for me nowadays. Why drive a Kia when you have a Porsche in the garage - it just doesn’t make sense and a waste of a short life lol
That said, of course everyone needs a couple of beaters for backyard, car wash, dirty stuff

Welcome. I’d agree that if you can’t enjoy a Seiko, you’re probably just in it for status.

Welcome and I'm a proud Seiko only guy. I'm of the belief of why drive a Porsche, that spends more time at the mechanic's garage, than your own, versus a dependable low maintenance daily driver.

Have a partner that does the same with his Porsche.
