Take payment in some kind of crypto or cash otherwise I wouldn’t do it.
I have sold to several zero post count WUS members who just joined because of a sale post I had made, but always by wire transfer. This does feel a little henky, but I’d consider it if I could vette them though LinkedIn and through their work email associated with that account. I’ve done that for some buyers who wanted to feel more comfortable that I was a real person rather than a fraudster.

Let me know how you want to proceed
I was hoping to do it through PayPal, unfortunately I lost my wallet, so I'm waiting on a new credit card, probably be here in a couple days
We could do e-transfer, that's me having trust in you
Would you like a payment now for the watch and then you find out the shipping or would you like it altogether?”
This is straight out of the Con Man 101 textbook.

Second.

Lame excuse. Reassuring "I trust you" language. Eagerness to pay right away.

I wouldn't do the deal. No way.

I agree.
