Timex's Navi XL Automatic

Post by AtomicTom » Wed Oct 23, 2019 9:11 am

Guys, did we touch on Timex's new Navi XL Automatic?

It's evidently just the first of multiple versions. Having details like a
41mm stainless steel case, 100m WR, unidirectional rotating bezel,
nice green dial with luminous hands, and markers, Miyota automatic
movement, and brown leather strap as well.

Some pictures...

Who cares about the mutant hour hand, what’s up with that shirt/coat combination?

Oh, that? That’s called fashion nowadays. Take a shirt and jacket that don’t match, pair with pants that don’t match that also happen to be weirdly thin and taper way too much at the bottom, and pair with a grungy pair of military boots, or crazy colored socks (or my favorite, no socks!) and some sneaker-shoe abomination.

I don’t mind the weird hour hand, but I could pass on the cyclops and the 13-24 scale.

That guy on the lower left looks like a real doofus.

Something doesn’t add up for me here. Not feeling it. So they put a hole in the hour hand to circle the inner hour track and it doesn’t even line up with the number? Glad they thought that through.

It’s not really a dive watch, it’s marketed as a military-sport watch and has a 100m WR. In fairness, just because it has an elapsed time bezel doesn’t mean it it’s a dive watch, but they could have went with a countdown bezel instead.

If you’re gonna have that open circle on the hour hand at least have it in the right place so it doesn’t cut off the 24hr scale numbers

It’s been corrected and updated on production models that will be released this week or next,
