Pelagos Date Change Issue?

Post by Honeybadger » Fri Oct 04, 2019 6:09 am

So, I’ve read about the date change issues that occurred on some of the Tudor GMTs, but has anyone experienced or heard about it happening on the Pelagos? (Mine is an in house purchased in December 2018).

I haven’t touched the crown since 9/3 - left it at home for a long weekend of rafting and camping and had to rewind and reset when I got back. Worn regularly since. Keeping great time since. Actually checked yesterday and it had only gained about 20 seconds over the month. Date was right yesterday (looked at it to sign into a job site), but when I glanced at it this morning when filling out school paperwork for my daughter it was still showing the 3rd. The 3 was still perfectly centered in the window. Time was still spot on. I advanced the hands 24 hours and the date flipped perfectly. I’ll watch it the next few days, but from the stories about the GMT it seems as if it’s an intermittent problem with those, but one where something was definitely malfunctioning and needed to be repaired.

September had 30 days, not 31. Could it be that.

I would watch it over a week and then decide if it is an issue.

This would be my guess as well. If you haven’t touched the crown since 9/3, that means you didn’t account for only 30 days in September.

No, but I did subject it to a flight from Omaha last night where I got “upgraded” to a middle seat. It may have been a combination of air pressure and the gravitational forces being created by the two BBW Cornhuskers I was wedged in between! Image. Oh yeah, and the fact that I’m a moron.
