Recent Work trip to London

Post by rockmastermike » Thu Sep 26, 2019 4:20 pm

Got back from Buffalo (Humboldt & SM300MC) last Thursday and back on plane Saturday to London (Humboldt & 233) and back home yesterday

What's a trip to London without Harrod's and a Pub for fish & chips and mushy peas and a fizzy drink

Stopped into the new Panerai Boutique on New Bond St. and picked up a Military Green Rubber and was gifted a nice golf umbrella which was nice because it rained every day I was there.

Found a good Shawarma place around the corner from the hotel (made good use of the 12hr bezel)

And finally back to The States

That's awesome. It's one of my dreams to visit the British Isles before I kick the bucket. My mother got back from her first trip to England just a couple of months ago actually, she loved it.

Nice pics, and nothing quite like fish, chips and mushy peas.

loved the pub scene there, the smaller and older, the better

we bumped into the great actor Nigel Davenport in a tiny pub the size of a postage stamp in the mid-90's and pissed the night away with him

We took the oldest two with us to London during their Spring Break back in March for a week. It was such a good time there. We are planning to go back with our two youngest children in a couple of years.
It's a beautiful world! Gerald.

Looks like a great trip. Only been to London once never left Heathrow airport had to do a transfer on the way to Bahrain when in the Navy. You had a better trip than I did.

You were in London and didn't try Jellied Eels? Can't say I blame you, I've not tried them either :puke:
Sorry the weather was bad, although it's warm and sunny here today
