Breitling's Aviator 8 Mosquito
Breitling's Aviator 8 Mosquito
Did you guys check out another nice Breitling in the Aviator 8 Mosquito?
The watch honors one of the fastest planes of the early 1940's in the
British aircraft the De Havilland Mosquito. With just some of the specs
including a 43mm stainless steel case, 100m WR, a convex AR-coated
a satin-brushed ADLC-coated stainless steel bezel with cool red pointer,
numerals, and indeces, black dial with luminous hands, and markers,
brown leather strap, and 47 jewel Breitling in-house Caliber 01 too.
Some pictures everyone...

I like it, but Breitling wants too much for their stuff.

Give it 6 months and see what an AD will offer it to you for. I’ve found unless limited editions they rarely go for close to full retail.hoppyjr wrote:I like it, but Breitling wants too much for their stuff.

I just don’t find Breitling to be compelling, even at the typical discounts. Just my opinion.tattoo chef wrote:Give it 6 months and see what an AD will offer it to you for. I like it but $7700 is a bit much for a Breitling. At 25-30% off it could be compelling. I do think their watches have gotten a lot nicer under Kern.

I concur. I get that there's a niche for everything, but how Breitling has become such a runaway mainstream success befuddles me.hoppyjr wrote: ↑Thu Sep 26, 2019 10:07 amI just don’t find Breitling to be compelling, even at the typical discounts. Coming back from Fiji the duty free at the airport had some chronomats and other offerings for 40% off. And the salesperson tried tempting me by taking another few hundred off the discounted prices.
