Shoulderless spring bar issue, putting in not pulling out!
Greetings all!! Nice to be here, thanks for having me! Quick stupid question. I have a Raven Trekker with drilled lugs. Got some nice solid shoulderless spring bars for it. My problem is on the bracelet, I can only get one side to click into place. I’ve jimmied and cajoled, yelled at it, and whispered sweet nothings just won’t do it. On a strap or with nothing it’s perfect, solid as a rock, full penetration in both lugs. The bar portion is exactly the right size, side to side. So is there a secret to this? Or do I need to get a 19mm bar?
Thanks for the help!!
Thanks for the help!!

Welcome to DWC
I’ve had the same issue recently and had to drop to a smaller lug pins. I don’t like shoulderless springbars on bracelets if there’s a slot to pull the detent back, as I’ve had them get stuck - even with a drilled lug. That’s just me, they probably work just fine.
Good luck

Hi. The holes in the lugs (and/or bracelet end links) might not be perfectly aligned. With a strap, it's not a problem. You could try spring bars with a thinner center section. That will allow some wiggle room to get the holes to line up.

That’s for the input fellas, that seems to be the issue is once it’s in I can’t get enough slack to pop into the other lug. I’ll have to see what size the ones I have are!

Have you tried asking Steve if the bracelet uses different spring bars?

Thus is what allows me to install the fitted bracelet for my Seiko Sawtooth. I used regular spring bars, not fatties. No worries about reaming the lug holes. There's no play whatsoever.

I have not. The bars fit perfectly in the end links just a veritable bitch to get in both sides. I may have to Facebook him. Good thought!

So Steve got back to me this am and said the marathon bars didn’t have enough flex to work with the SEL on the bracelet as they were too tight a fit. To use regular shoulder bars in there. So ima check my pin bags and see what fits or order another set from Terry. Kinda bummed that I can’t use the right bars with the drilled lugs. Oh well.

Just let me know and I will help you match something up. I bet you need some with a 1.78mm diameter.DevilDogDoc wrote: ↑Tue Sep 24, 2019 1:15 pmSo Steve got back to me this am and said the marathon bars didn’t have enough flex to work with the SEL on the bracelet as they were too tight a fit. You’ve bet right!! Got any with a nice long tip to fit in the drilled lugs? Or so all the double flange come in a standard length?
