This just in: Aquadive Bathysphere 100 GMT

Post by Joeprez » Sat Sep 21, 2019 7:50 am

Funny I received this one a day after the Aquadive announcement

When I became a member of WatchUseek back in 2011, that first year I saw a ton of watches that I wanted to have. Besides the Omegas and Rolexes, two "new to me" brands made watches that REALLY made an impression on me: the Sinn U1 and the Aquadive Bathysphere 100 GMT. I've owned several U1's by now (and want another one), but for some reason I never bought an Aquadive. Until now:

Taller and a bit longer than a NAFT, but the dial is smaller and it wears pretty comfortable. The height doesn't bother me, as I don't mind wearing bigger watches on the weekends (this is obviously not an office watch). I love the color scheme but would love a thinner Isofrane. This one is not perfect, but got it at a decent price from a great seller from WUS. #embracefunkycolors

I’ve been a fan/owner of Aquadive’s since 2011. They make a solid/beautiful watch! Enjoy that Bad Boy for many years

What a cool coincidence Joe, and what an unbelievably cool watch ! :headbang:

First you have that incredible dial with that perfect mix of the modern,
and the classic. With the terrific hands, and markers teaming up with
the nice matte black, and beautiful blue. Then there's the epic case,
and bezel which impresses the first second you see it. :o

Even the strap is outstanding. So nice sir ! ..A giant congrats there !!!

Congrats Joe. AD builds a nice watch. Owned the GMT in orange several years ago and was impressed.

Nice! I’ve always found the cushion case to be comfortable.

Watch looks great Joe. If your looking for turquoise I highly recommend the doxa 1200t project aware 2.

Perfect size. And not too thick either.

Doxa is offering the 300T in turquoise also.

I’d think that Doxa would wear a bit more comfortably due to the recessed crown. I’d even wear the turquoise color, but the fiscally responsible part of my brain says $1,900 for a “weekend only” watch isn’t going to work for me.

To further the turquoise theme, I think I just found the perfect ride for Danny and Joe....

I'll be honest, I think about that sometimes, but I've mostly worn my PO only on weekends for the past 4 years. Also, not paying for any cars right now does help (this buying watches spree will end in a couple of month when I finally get a new car  )
