I love my Shogun and I generally like colorful watches, but that thing is uglier than a bag of assholes.

Hard pass.
Re: Thai Zimbe Shogum
The Zimbe watches always sell for crazy markup on the secondary. Never understood it.

Yes, I never took the time to find out what Zimbe means and why Seiko asks so much money for those models.
This particular Shogun is definitely unique both in colors and combinations, but maybe they are surveyed features for Thailand...
I would like to see a blue one....

Re: Thai Zimbe Shogum
Seems like a "legit mod" that seiko makes and charges more. We make the mod and we are lucky break even. Agreed that is not the best looking one I have seen and would definitely pass at that price point.

Darn, that looks nice. But it says Zimbe again on it... is it another one that costs $1875 or something? I can't figure how a dial of different color and a cyclops account for more then $1000 on jacked up price...
I guess there is only one word that describe this practice... profit.
Re: Thai Zimbe Shogum
Never knew about these either Carlo, but it's awesome to find out about
now like this ! Just think you are so right about seeing the Shogun in
a different color, and seeing how the design can change gears with just
a few changes.
Love just the attitude of it here, and how fiery it is.
So neat sir. Thank you !!!

Re: Thai Zimbe Shogum
The blue one was released about a year ago. Nice blue dial ruined with that hideous cyclops
I love my Shogun but regardless of dial color or LE status, no way in hell it's worth more than a grand, especially with that red headed step child 6r15 movement inside.

Maybe an owner can correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think Seiko puts a very large premium on these – the community resale value seems to be where the gouging takes place. Maybe because they’re properly limited?

I always assumed the price difference was set by the Thai distributor, not Seiko corporate.dinexus wrote:Maybe an owner can correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think Seiko puts a very large premium on these – the community resale value seems to be where the gouging takes place. Re: Thai Zimbe Shogum
I think these come in a littler higher than their standard models, but the biggest difference is that because these are LE and highly sought after, we never see a “street price” like we do with the standard Seiko models. Plus the middle man that picks them up at retail in Thailand, adds his cut before selling to the US or EU buyer.

You think they are making their own dials? I highly doubt that.toxicavenger wrote:shit I still believe these are modded by Seiko Thailand and aren't really in the Seiko catalogCGSshorty wrote: ↑Tue Sep 17, 2019 4:58 amI always assumed the price difference was set by the Thai distributor, not Seiko corporate.dinexus wrote:Maybe an owner can correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think Seiko puts a very large premium on these – the community resale value seems to be where the gouging takes place.
