New Bell & Ross
New Bell & Ross
I just noticed this on Time + Tide -
The new Bell & Ross hybrid Patek-APRO clone.
The steel model is $4900 msrp
Sorry, I can’t get excited like our buddy Tom.

Re: New Bell & Ross
Handled this at both Basel and JCK, and it’s extremely well executed. For the record, B&R has more or less had this case design in their lineup for the better part of the last decade, but as soon as they integrate the bracelet, everyone in the peanut gallery loses their goddamned minds.

Re: New Bell & Ross
I am not sure about this one. I think the dial looks too small in the case but I do like the overall case and bracelet design.
Its inevitable they will get slayed for it being an AP or PP clone/ copy. But no one says AP or PP are a copy of each other? Which came first?
They have made a good effort on movement too and that looks good. I would need to see this in person to fully decide if I like it but its unlikely to win my $$.

Nice watches but I wouldn’t spend my own money on them

This will likely happen. With the discounted sale price of somewhere in the 3000 range, used values will eventually be in the high teens.toxicavenger wrote:For around 1500 I would pick one up.

Re: New Bell & Ross
I kind of like it, but seems pretty pricey for B&R?
Re: New Bell & Ross
I agree that the dial feels a bit too small. Looks nicely crafted though and at least they got the screws aligned correctly.
Re: New Bell & Ross
too much metal to dial ratio for me... plus crazy price for a B&R 3 hander

I like the shade of blue they use.

Not bad, but not compelling for me.

New Bell & Ross
I am liking this a lot, very clean and understated, and I dig their dials with the bold numerals at 12,6,9. The finish looks very clean too. I can’t wait to see one in the metal.
Illl get a blue one at some point with bracelet and rubber.

Re: New Bell & Ross
Going to have to go against the tide on this one, not a fan. IMHO it kind of looks like a cheap micro that unsuccessfully tried to meld design elements from a bunch of other watches.
Re: New Bell & Ross
Wow, it is pretty neat though Hoppy, and very different for B&R too !
It has a B&R feel, but you also see other brands meshed into the design
like Andrew pointed out. Am seeing a little AP within it, which is
cool all by itself !
This would have been fun just to see during Baselworld, so seeing it as
a late summer surprise is awesome !!! ..Thanks so much sir !

Dial needs to be bigger. Not bad but not for me... still like the Autodromo Group B or the ML Aikon better.

Looks like one I would buy at 1500 wear a couple of weeks and then most likely try to sell. Not sure if it has enough to stick for me.

Re: New Bell & Ross
And other than AP and PP, not really a fan of integrated bracelets...just my opinion

Not a Genta fan in general but if I were one I’d get this one and tell people I’m just waiting in line for 5711 and got BR to kill time
