Crappy photos
I see you guys post some crisp, clear photos of your watches. I use my iPhone 8 and while it is clear and
HDR quality when I view the photos on my phone, once I upload them on Servimg.com to host on here, they look fuzzy.
For example, this photo on my iPhone is crystal clear, but when I upload it on the host site, it’s not so nice.
Which is the best host site for high quality photos?
Thanks fellas!

Re: Crappy photos
I have the same prob, and have to reduce the quality of the pic before I can post. PITA

I use Tapatalk too, but still find the photos blurry at times - even when they are crisp on my phone. Odd.

Re: Crappy photos
I think lots of software that posts pics online, like Tapatalk and WhatsApp, will resample and downsize the pic before posting it. Also, some forums change the resolution of pics before they are viewed onscreen - Forumotion does this. I doubt there is any problem with the phone cameras.

I use imgur and tapatalk.

Re: Crappy photos
Is there a setting in this forum that sets or down grades the photo quality?

Re: Crappy photos
When I upload via Tapatalk, it gives me the option for best image size. I use a DSLR for my images, that are edited and and exported at maximum image size available , so even if there is some compression going on, it’s minimal, and not as bad as Facebook compression.Axelay2003 wrote:Is there a setting in this forum that sets or down grades the photo quality?

Re: Crappy photos
My pictures always lose quality when I resize them. There’s been a small handful of pictures that I was actually happy with after resizing and uploading. I think I might need to find a better program.

Re: Crappy photos
I searched loads of image sharing options and settled for postimage.org it's so easy to use from my smartphone and has the option to resize or not. I choose not to resize because I thought we had an auto resize for pics on the forum, I'm not sure now so let me know if my pics are too big for your screens or blurred
Re: Crappy photos
Unless I'm missing something, that option isn't available within the Android apptattoo chef wrote:When I upload via Tapatalk, it gives me the option for best image size. I think they look good as well.
I can’t pictures worth a damm. I got a decent Sony point and click a year ago and that isn’t any better than my iPhone, even for still shots, so I am almost convinced it is me.

Re: Crappy photos
I figured out why the servimg.com had subpar photos. The free account automatically resizes and decreases quality of your uploaded images. If you subscribe to their monthly fee of $1.30, the host site will save and post your uploaded image size up to 32 MB compared to the "free" account of 10MB.
Check these images I posted of the Sinn Dark Star. Much better image quality.
