Welcome to DWC.

If Indiana Jones went after that crystal skull it wouldn’t have been a flop with this devout Indy fan.
That shinola is cool. 17yrs ago me and a couple dudes (one then Kiowa pilot, and one recent Robin Sage grad I served with in the 82nd as an infantry soldier) decided to drive up 95 to D.C for the weekend. We ran into a retired marine one pilot at Tyson’s corner P.F Chang’s of all places and bought him a beer. Asked him to tag along (rhetorically) and he awkwardly obliged. Took the GW to the memorials, got sloppy drunk in the area, told some local street clothes to ignore our state of mind with “do-you-know-who we-are?” stupidity near the WH post 9/11 as they rolled their eyes and likely radioed us in, and had an absolutely epic evening.

Well, you know Wu, so that's a strike against you.
But that GMT looks great and has a terrific backstory, so I'm going to go with "welcome!"

A few which were on the side of the bed. I’d say I’ve shown you about 70% with this pic below.
Also a couple pics of my business I hope it’s not too off topic to be allowed.
When I moved back to Michigan after a few years in Cali I wanted to buy a loft downtown and a Big Boy statue. Never got the loft but recently added Big Boy to the collection. Wow was he heavy and a nightmare to get up.
PT Barnum was the Greatest Showman and along with Walt Disney one of my fathers sources of inspiration. The Cardiff Giant was one of PTs greatest hoaxes and my dad had to have it (outbidding Ripley’s). This is PTs actual Giant

That's awesome, and welcome to the forum. There is a really cool vintage arcade in Houston, with a bunch of pinball machines. God I miss Texas.WatchTimes wrote: ↑Fri Aug 16, 2019 6:47 amPinball anyone??

Re: Hi Everyone! New to DWC but not watches
OK very cool!
So many forums are anti gun I never know!
Anyway sometimes in life you just need to pull out the BIG DOG to start!
Sure I have more than enough Glocks, M&P's, Sigs etc BUT my passion is for 1911's.
When I first got into firearms I was a little ignorant (like most) about 1911's I thought NOOO I can't carry cocked and locked that just NUTS (but I carried a Glock LOL). Anyway I was taking a Pat Rogers tactical carbine course I could not shoot worth a crap when I had to transition to a handgun for some reason (trigger change from carbine to Glock I guess) anyway a friend had me shoot his spare gun with was a Kimber CDP and I shot great and bought it off him right then. Being the snob I am my first being a CDP only a custom would be good enough so I have gone a little nuts with custom 1911's. Anywhere here is the last one and truly the grail of my collection. This is the SVI Infinity Ti Tiki Single Stack 1911, the serial # is custom being my sons initials and Bday since its really his gun (like a Patek you never own it, you simply hold it for the next generation). Anywhere so here it is the big load! Like my watches EVERYTHING I own is a user, I do not believe in safe queens! I will shoot any of them in a tactical class that may result in them being scraped, scuffed etc but that's what they are meant for! I do not care for "Display" guns myself but to each their own. To me that's like buying a 911 Turbo and just staring at it in the garage and wiping it with a diaper... Drive it or buy a picture to stare at!
***ETA*** I had this on order longer before I learned this but cool cheesy fact, this is the gun Colin Farrell carried in the Miami Vice remake ***
I also have a series of Lever guns built by Ted Yost and Lew Bonitz as well as several shotguns and other 1911s built by the various custom guys out there.
Suppressors, SBR, SBS, AOW I got a couple of each LOL. I will have to get some picks of my Rohrbaugh, its truly a one of a kind... A rare enough gun which was customized by my friend and one of the premier 1911 smiths Ned Christensen
To those of you in California sorry if this makes you jealous LOL

Welcome to the forum. I like the older 1911's with history plus it what I was issued in the early 1980's in the Navy then later years they went to the 9mm from the Sig to the Berretta like the Sig better than the Berretta. Here is my vintage 1911 Remington issued in 1944.
Talking about IDF watches my favorite out of my military collection.
