white dials with micro gas tube covered hands, and markers. Plus
stainless steel bracelets, and chronometer certified Ball RR1702-C,
or BALL RR1702 automatic movement choices. Both based off the
ETA 2897 everyone.
Some pictures for you...

Re: Ball Watch's Roadmaster Icebreaker
Nice straight forward design. Got a bit of a Tudor North Flag vibe. If they get rid of cyclops and have dial coloured date this would be a winner and great sports watch

Re: Ball Watch's Roadmaster Icebreaker
The off center PR indicator bothers me but other than that this is pretty nice
Re: Ball Watch's Roadmaster Icebreaker
I really like this one.
Re: Ball Watch's Roadmaster Icebreaker
Total winner in my book - even the cyclops and power meter thingy
Love the tubes and Ball has great QC
At 40 mm, it’s perfect
Thanks Tom - I’ll be keeping an eye out for one of these in a couple of years once they hit the used market

I looks like a Rolex oysterquartz, which is a good thing.
However, having “ball” and “breaker” in the name is ill advised.

Re: Ball Watch's Roadmaster Icebreaker
As others have said, it's not bad.
There always seems to be one or two design niggles with Ball watches that put me off. In this case it's the cyclops and asymmetric power reserve indicator (not loving the hands either, TBH).
With so many watch brands vying for buyers' attention, I honestly don't know how a brand like Ball - with nothing particularly special to offer - manages to survive.

Re: Ball Watch's Roadmaster Icebreaker
These guys must do it on purpose. Like the ball skin diver. WTF?
That’s actually the ball inspector 2. Does that mean there’s a ball inspector 1, or that the inspector inspects two balls?

No they work together. This one only inspects ball #2, which is the right ball.JP Chestnut wrote: ↑Tue Aug 06, 2019 2:58 pmThese guys must do it on purpose. Like the ball skin diver. WTF?

Indeed. When I’m also old as dirt, I’m sure I’ll approve of the cyclops as well.deepcdvr wrote:Lol wait until you’re my agematt.wu wrote: ↑Tue Aug 06, 2019 3:59 pmCyclops is never a winner.deepcdvr wrote:Total winner in my book - even the cyclops and power meter thingy

Dunno. I’m old like you (maybe older!) and I still hate the cyclops.deepcdvr wrote:Lol wait until you’re my agematt.wu wrote: ↑Tue Aug 06, 2019 3:59 pmCyclops is never a winner.deepcdvr wrote:Total winner in my book - even the cyclops and power meter thingy

Re: Ball Watch's Roadmaster Icebreaker
I like it. Thanks for sharing that one, Tom.
As others have said, it definitely leans towards the Oysterquartz and the North Flag (with a possible nod to the Ingenieur), but pulls it all off very nicely.

Re: Ball Watch's Roadmaster Icebreaker
It would be more interesting if they lost the date and the power meter.
