Thanks, Brice; the yellow is every bit as good as you said it was.

Great looking watch. Giving me bad thoughts about selling something to fund one.
It was ok on the bracelet but I absolutely love it on tropic.

I’ll surely regret saying this, but.... I’ve found my happy place. It seems I’ve gravitated back to stuff I’ve owned before and I think it’s because I have a fondness for modern interpretations of old style classics.

Currently, with the exception of my two Ares divers, I’ve got three core pieces and don’t plan to change that anytime soon; this Omega, the Rolex Explorer, and the CWC with 1980 dial. All no-date pieces, all with ties to older stuff, all new/modern with no vintage worries.

I’ve sold my PO and only see a no-date Sub in my future, but hopefully Rolex will update the movement and slim the case.

Here’s another shot of the 300 Master Coaxial to keep you thinking about it.

That looks just fantastic. I feel like that great watch kinda got lost in the shuffle of Omega's continual redesigns and Rolex drama (maybe that's not a bad thing?)... but it really is a great version of the Seamaster

Love this watch. Every time I see one I still think back to being in the Rolex AD in Honolulu in 2017 when they had one in the display and one in the back available to anyone who pulled out their credit card... sigh. I did not.

Thanks. I think Omega has also got too caught up in the nato strap thing. This watch should have had 20mm lugs IMO, but Omega could have offered this style vintage strap as an option. I liked the watch fine on bracelet, but was still considering selling it. Once I tried this combo it was an entirely different watch.

This is what I sacrificed the Omega SMP for. Violates my no no date rule, and it's probably too small for some, but it's just a cool looking watch. Simple and clean, and the blue dial is very nice.

Agree. Omega did well with this one. I had the Ti blue dial for a while and stupidly flipped it.

I hear ya. When I bought this I was on vacation in Carmel a couple years ago and had the idea I was going to buy one from Fourtane when we got there. There was one in the window display and one in the display case (which I got). Of course they had practically every other SS sport model in the case as well (sans Daytonas in SS). Was there last weekend, the only SS sport model they had was the Yachtmaster II (cool watch but huge and gaudy).

Time have changed indeed. :salute:

That deal worked well for us both. I used the cash toward the Explorer 1 and ended up with a perfect pair. I’m glad you’re enjoying the E2.
