I was born and raised in Florida, but after my college experience in Maryland and another tour teaching there, my wife and I bought a place in the Annapolis area. Been tinkering on the house since that time and working in DC. Gonna have to rent it when I head back to sea, but we plan to come back to our house for shore duty each time. Love the area, the schools, and the abundance of things to do and places to go. Was just down in Ocean City a couple weeks back. Always a great time.

If you get back to MD, let me know. Would love to show you around 'Nap town.
Josh

Spent many a weekend camping and drinking on the beach at Assateague (can'tdo that in Ocean Chity). Evening time was for crabs and Seacrets. Sometimes we got crabs at Seacrets but nothing a little Rid wouldn't take care of

I've been through Maryland many times; guess I should plan on actually hanging around sometime.

Great post.

Crazy. My Mom's side of the family live in Havre De Grace. Been there a million times.

And my brother in law (retired Navy) went to Nuke school at Bainbridge.

Agree with you about Colorado - I live in Highlands Ranch and its getting nuts.
Nice I love HDG. One of favorite small towns. Highland is super crazy for sure. It is ruining Colorado for me :banghead:

so close, but yet so far.

i was always more of a bethany person, but that's because my grandparents had a cottage there going back to the early 50s (wish they'd held onto it now). learned to body surf there before i turned 5.
Truthfully when I got older Bethany is where I liked to go the most. But since my wife and kid has never seen OC I thought it was a must see.

My best friend lives in the Nap. His wife is a realtor in that area also. Pretty dope town, just way to expensive for this schmuck. I might take you up on that offer though.

Paul we haven't started thinking about moving until this year. We still love the town we are in but things are changing to the point that it is turning into more of burden. But we are trying to make some moves to do something soon. Heck we might even stay in Colorado and just find shit town to live in. :headbang:

Your daughter is really growing up. The extant of my experience in MD consists of Baltimore. I'm glad to hear that there are some nice areas.
Wait, you didn't like Baltimore?
I hate B-more. It isn't the Maryland I love :crybaby:
I was kidding about Baltimore. I think I've only ever been there once, and that was to the Aquarium. The Aquarium itself was nice, but there were a ton of hookers strolling for work all around the Aquarium, nice sight for the family. That's my one and only impression about the city, I'm sure there are others.

Great pics T, glad you guys had fun.

Nice to see T-bone. I love Maryland but wouldn’t retire there since they tax your social security. Thrasher’s are by far, the best fries. If you make the move, or come visit again, hit me up.

That sucks about SS> Hell that is dirty. I might have to live across the border then. If we have more time I will coordinate something with you.

Yeah I have encountered issues with it in my 20's where I was "that guy" who didn't listen. I am trying to teach my kid differently.
