Anyone got a line on a new Sub?
Anyone got a line on a new Sub?
My manager is on a waiting list at the local AD but no promises are being made for a timeline
I’m not following the madness lately so call me clueless but does anyone have a line on a black date sub at list price?
Thanks in advance broskis

Evidently there is a wait for Submariners. It's news to me, because I saw a few in the case the other day when I was in an AD.

Do you know if that AD would ship to another state?andrema wrote:Evidently there is a wait for Submariners. It's news to me, because I saw a few in the case the other day when I was in an AD.

I can’t believe that a regular boring fat case sub is hard to find.
Re: Anyone got a line on a new Sub?
That’s because they are popular. I find mine to be modern, and much more desirable than the 16610 I was wearing.JP Chestnut wrote: ↑Sat Jun 22, 2019 5:57 amI can’t believe that a regular boring fat case sub is hard to find.

Agree. It's not a case that's going to age well IMO.JP Chestnut wrote:I can’t believe that a regular boring fat case sub is hard to find.

They were popular three years ago too. Back when they sat in cases everywhere.R@cerx wrote: ↑Sat Jun 22, 2019 11:46 amThat’s because they are popular. Re: Anyone got a line on a new Sub?
Why, because I prefer a modern Sub over an older one.JP Chestnut wrote: ↑Sat Jun 22, 2019 4:09 pmYou should join. Agreed, dumped mine in less than a year. It had some decent angles where the lugs weren’t too obvious but overall it was terrible. And on straps those lugs were even more pronounced

Everyone will admit that the fat case sucks when Rolex shaves off a minuscule .05mm from the next generations lugs.
Re: Anyone got a line on a new Sub?
I’m starting to look at Rolex as something like a prototype car or similar. No one will have them for 5 years, DavidSW will charge 20K for one and it just won’t be interesting to dream aboutJP Chestnut wrote: ↑Sun Jun 23, 2019 5:49 amEveryone will admit that the fat case sucks when Rolex shaves off a minuscule .05mm from the next generations lugs.

I owned a 114060 and a 16600 concurrently for a couple of years. The 16600 was and is a dream to wear. I had to force myself to wear the Sub.

Re: Anyone got a line on a new Sub?
I sometimes think about flipping my 114060 for a 16600, but after wearing a glide lock bracelet for the past six years (on that and 116600), I feel like I’d miss it. I dunno though.

I highly doubt it. They’re the biggest luxury watch brand in the world. But I agree on the maxi-case.Panerai7 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 23, 2019 6:23 amI’m starting to look at Rolex as something like a prototype car or similar. Let me ask him if he was planning on buying outright or financing with an AD. Thanks broandrema wrote:I’d pick it up and ship it, if you want
