Per the Hodinkee video linked at the end of the article, Nicklaus isn't a watch guy, and he says the DD is basically the only watch he's ever worn since he got it.
It won't get Paul Newman money, but I'm sure it will go for something stupid, which will mean that the prices on regular vintage day dates will probably move upward.
