I remember when shopgoodwill was decent for finding good vintage Seiko stuff. Now it’s just overcrowded with makers and people wanting to flip. Internet has literally ruined everything. I haven’t even bothered in the last few years.
Long gone are the days when goodwill wasn’t a corporation. A late family member of mine was a master carpenter who used to volunteer his time fixing up old furniture for them. Now it’s just some drug dealer to tell you your decent furniture isn’t worth a damn because it has a chip on the wood.

Right after the $7000 bid (about the going rate) somebody went to $80,000. Then, it seems, the race was on.
