A couple more shots for the PO guys who are interested.

It reminds me a little of the BPFG sailcloth strap. This is rubber underneath and feels a little more flexible than the croc-leather-rubber that comes standard.

That really does look great. The Omega straps, and particularly their deployant, are some of the best in the business.

Thanks. I liked in (in photos) on the Deep Black model, but in person it gives the PO a “fifty fathoms-ish” feel. I’m happy. For now.

While at the boutique I tried on the blue SMP and it will be mine, hopefully soon. I’m trying to wait until the upcoming Omega announcement, hoping for a modern 2254, but not sure my will power will hold.



Who am I kidding....if they release a modern 2254 I will need both.

Also had a change to try the GO Seventies and love how it fits & feels. The blue would be on the short list, but only without that giant white date wheel. Fugly! The watch itself is nice, with micro adjust clasp and screw crown.



I don’t usually do anything with gold, but this dial helps the ugly date window blend in a bit. This one on bracelet could find its way to me in 2019-2020. Maybe. At least (unlike Rolex) you can get your hands on one of these.

^^ GO has the best big date complication in the business. But I agree that it's a bit too prominent on the blue dial, I like it much better on the cream dial.

Edit: You just had to make me think about GOs again! I've had this on my want list for ages. Maybe time to finally pull the trigger...

I switched to the yellow Scurfa DiverOne 500 for dinner with family and friends

If that one had the bracelet with adjustable clasp and the screw crown I’d prefer it. Lovely dial.
