New Electrostatic Accutron Concept Movement

Post by AtomicTom » Fri Apr 19, 2019 11:38 am

You guys may have seen this one recently. It's a new Electrostatic Accutron
Concept Movement, which helps to celebrate Accutron's 60th Anniversary.
The watch that it is in actually reminds you of Accutron's Spaceview too.

We will have to wait, and see though, if the movement actually does
show up in a new watch down the road.

Here is a look...

Very interesting. A bit tough to understand the mechanics from the description, although it does sound like it conceptually is somewhere between a Spring Drive and Kinetic movement.

It’s going to bring corduroys back into style. Rub it on your pants to charge it up!

You could also shuffle your Hush Puppies in shag carpeting.
No, it's not Tourettes.

I really hope this makes it in to production. It's such a cool looking watch and feels like it naturally follows on from the Spaceview. I have an Accutron from '67 and this would compliment it perfect. Love the green bridges and view in to the inner workings

Hey don't mention it Paul ! :) Wasn't sure if you, and the guys had caught this.
Thought it was really impressive too, and have to agree that this is one special
skeletonized dial ! :headbang: Really hope that these become a reality, or at least
something close to them do.

Really glad that everybody's liking these. It's really some inanely cool news !
