New Arrival - Rado Captian Cook Mk2

Post by stonehead887 » Wed Mar 13, 2019 7:58 am

So after a very long wait, my Rado has finally arrived. This is the new Captian Cook Mk2 and a re-edition of the original. Case is 37mm with inner rotating bezel and 2 screw down crowns. Super high domed crystal and great lume.
It wears much bigger than 37mm would suggest. Watch came with extra NATO and has quick release spring bars so I may swap out the BoR until I can get it sized.
It has a lovely case shape with shrouded lugs. Clasp has some nice detail too and it's rated at 200m.
First impressions very good, excellent quality and fit and finish. This is my first Rado and happy to have joined the club.
Here are the pics. ImageImageImageImageImage

That is a show stopper Jeremy ! :o ..Boy oh boy, you really don't see these
everyday, but man, they are exceptional it looks like. Just the dial alone
is unforgettable, and makes you just about forget to check the time I bet.
Then the case looks incredible, and more like 40-43mm honestly !

Can never get enough of the BOR bracelets either. Wow, HUGE congrats !!!

Just compared it to my SKX, it's about the same height

More pics. It's on the NATO supplied. Need to get the BoR bracelet sized, can't do it myself. It has pins to hold the outer links and tubes to hold the inner links.
Lume is pretty good. It's actually rated at 220m,not 200. Serious shiny surfaces and will be a scratch magnet for sure. ImageImageImage

Depth of dial is awesome and for some reason there is a tiny anchor etched in to the surface of the crystal, if you look close you can just see it at the end of the hour hand closest to shaft (or whatever it's called) ImageImage
