Tissot's Heritage 1973
Tissot's Heritage 1973
Not sure if everybody has checked out this Tissot already.
It is the Heritage 1973 which pays homage to their racing history, along with
Navigator. Which was introduced in 1973.
Looks like the new watch has a brushed, and polished 43mm stainless steel
case, 100m WR, cool crown, and notched pushers, silver, and black panda
dial with tachymeter, orange accents, and luminous hands, and markers,
neat rally strap, ETA 7753, and more.
Some pictures guys...

I really, really wish they'd kept the central minutes counter.

Very cool. Lose the date, add some colorways.

It appears to have a snap on caseback (similar to the PR 516 re-issue they did a few years back). Not fond of the date window placement. Other than that, looks like a pretty deadly retro piece.
Re: Tissot's Heritage 1973
I agree with the date thing. Still nice, though.

First thing I noticed when I looked at it. Date ruins it.CGSshorty wrote:They were so close.jtbenson wrote:ugh, date.

Yes, as most watches it would look cleaner without the date, but it's still a great looking watch and a great alternative to a Heuer.

It’s not the date itself, but rather it’s the fucked up placement of the date.Joeprez wrote:Yes, as most watches it would look cleaner without the date, but it's still a great looking watch and a great alternative to a Heuer.
It would be much better at 6 like my Pontos.

Yep, I might be a buyer if this was a no-date.

Agree with that. I prefer a date on “6”.tattoo chef wrote:It’s not the date itself, but rather it’s the fucked up placement of the date.Joeprez wrote:Yes, as most watches it would look cleaner without the date, but it's still a great looking watch and a great alternative to a Heuer.

Nice. Reminds me of the original Seastar/Navigator with the Lemania based movements.

Iove it, even if I’d prefer it with the date at 6, I’d still rock it. White date wheel is good

You know guys, maybe Tissot will get feedback on the date, and could
offer a different version, or two in the next few years. This might
be just the beginning for seeing this style from them again, and we will
see more variations down the road.
Beautiful Citizen too by the way John. ..Sleek, and sporty !
Thanks so much everyone !!!

Re: Tissot's Heritage 1973
I like it. I'm usually not a stickler on the placement of the date, but I agree with the consensus that it could have been omitted or moved to the 6:00 area. I wonder what the street price would be?
