I doubt they were trying to hide the polished bits of the watch but I have to agree, photos like this sure make it look brushed:

I mean it’s nice enough (preferred it in the stock photo), but the hype is a bit...ridiculous.

Also, this is probably the first time ever a Seiko has looked better in a stock photo than IRL (in my opinion).
