Decent watches if not a little plain
Re: New Breitling Aviator 8 Curtiss Warhawk collection
Yep, Chrono Avenger had its own face, I don't know what this is. Hamilton?

Re: New Breitling Aviator 8 Curtiss Warhawk collection
B’ling used to have some of the nicest dials around. Now... they don’t.
Re: New Breitling Aviator 8 Curtiss Warhawk collection
Welp, it’s official - Breitling is not Breitling anymore
Many will register, few will last

I agree with the consensus. Love them or hate them, it used to be that you had to be all in on Breitling. The styling was unique and in your face. They were doing large watches long before it became trendy.
Now they just look like a lot of other brands. Maybe they'll sell more watches this way, but they're losing a lot of what made them who they were.

I think they’re more likely to go out of business. I hope Rolex secures production rights for their chronograph movement.JBZ wrote: ↑Wed Feb 20, 2019 1:52 pmI agree with the consensus. Man I really dig those. The new Navitimer 8's vibe with me in general.
Re: New Breitling Aviator 8 Curtiss Warhawk collection
You could be right. Might explain the radical change in their designs. Are they still producing the traditional Navitimer?JP Chestnut wrote: ↑Wed Feb 20, 2019 2:17 pmI think they’re more likely to go out of business. The change is due to bringing Kerns on board - the guy who shit all over IWC.JBZ wrote: ↑Wed Feb 20, 2019 5:15 pmYou could be right. Might explain the radical change in their designs. Re: New Breitling Aviator 8 Curtiss Warhawk collection
Decent enough looking watch, although I'm not a fan of most of the new Breitling designs. As stated by others, very generic. At least with the previous models you knew immediately that you were looking at a Breitling.

Re: New Breitling Aviator 8 Curtiss Warhawk collection
Cool watch, but nothing about this, or about any of the other new stuff really says 'Breitling' to me anymore. I'd almost get a Bremont over this, and support the little guys.
Re: New Breitling Aviator 8 Curtiss Warhawk collection
Guys, just on a side note. ..Not sure if you guys caught this in the article.
But evidently the Aviator 8 name is replacing the Navitimer 8 name from
now on. ..Seems like some people were confusing the Navitimer 8 with
the regular Navitimer, or Navitimers.
You know what is cool about what Breitling is doing imho guys?! Is how
they are adding new models every year, but still have the classics, or
classic lines for fans too !

The PVD looks good in a hamilton-esq kinda way. I’m a fan of the clean- dial look, so overall I like them. Not sure about the prices but I’ll bet they are up there.
Re: New Breitling Aviator 8 Curtiss Warhawk collection
The PVD model is really nice. Also like how the chrono subdials are a bit recessed.
