New members sometimes do get unwarranted abuse. Having said that I'll assume anyone new has most likely lurked around for awhile without signing up, and therefore should potentially know what they're getting into.

Don’t really see what the big deal is...

Dude was power posting, not really adding anything of value. Throws a fit and then disappears.

When I was new here I got shit from some members just because; wasn’t butthurt about it - instead I saw the bigger picture of an actual watch community with a wealth of knowledge. If you don’t stick around to see what TWC is really about, then maybe this isn’t the place for you.

This is the only watch forum I visit regularly and the only forum I’ve made an effort to meet people outside of forum walls (lolz). TWC isn’t the problem

And maybe he didn't lurk around here for a while before signing up and therefore didn't realize the abuse he would receive. Sure we get some spammers from time to time, but 7 minutes after the OP started this thread the attacks began. No offense, but new folks shouldn't have to suffer a hazing at the hands of a few members to decide if they are worthy of belonging here. This guy is likely gone and we all appear as though we are a bunch of exclusive pricks.

Exactly - mods and admins should decide who is breaking the rules, rather than members accusing them of shill posting a FS thread, calling for thier banning, and then breaking out the dildos and my little brony memes. The toxic masculinity here is fun sometimes when it’s among long time members who expect it, but it’s over the top when it’s used on new members who might be making an honest mistake. :smack:

The “attacks”...give me a F-ing break!

He made a type-o, which was funny...TWC. Guys made up acronyms for TWC...funny...

The only thing that I take from this thread is that things have changed, which is fine, stop the “hazing”. Maybe we should assign members to a Welcome Panel?

If I had to guess Trevor (the OP) did too little reading here and posted too quickly. The same thing happened to me and ToxicTerry talked me off the edge privately. Now I just know your guys' MO ;-)

Heck my intro was deleted there were so many attacks and I still feel “attacked” by all yalls toxic masculinity. But someone had HTFU as a signature, so I did and so here I am.
Was that wrong? Should I not have done that?
