Destro Dial Question?

Post by namor » Fri Feb 15, 2019 3:54 pm

Even as I write this, it seems a little stupid to not know the answer. But I'll ask anyway: On a no date watch, can you simply lift the dial off the movement (after removing the hands) turn it upside down, re-install hands, and now have a destro style watch? Is it that easy or are there more complexities to it?

It depends on the watch, dial and movement. I never personally tried but I was told that the Seiko SKX for example can have the dial turned 180 degrees and it fits right on.
