The whole eco system of mkii is insane. Yao seems to be playing the long con, being as nice to as many people as possible. He is not working on his "benchcrafted" but instead pushes the seiko engine mkii rtw, which in general aren't ready to wear. This interview proves the lack of objectivity with current blogs, when blogs both review and sell its fairly clear they aren't objective. I just don't understand the following if you read any of his updates it's quite insulting to your intelligence. A year ago he had completed all the qc for the key West, but what's he currently doing now... Key West qc... Yuk... also not sure why anyone would openly state that he needs a week to recover from jet lag from a vacation. ImageImage

What is weirder is Worn and Wound has told numerous brands they won't do a review on a watch because it is "to close of a homage". But they do them for the Yahoo master

Is it a homage if it’s better than the real thing?

Agreed, I stick to this place for discussions, and utilize WUS for pics/research.

Only time I can think of this ever happening was with USFA vs Colt and its SAA. Much better than any Colt made imho.

But that was with firearms.

Strange that if someone could legitimately reproduce a better example of a classic watch I likely still wouldn’t be interested.

You speak as if Yao hasn’t already produced a catalog of watches all better than the originals.

Mil Sub? Nah! Yao Sub.
