New Pelagos Strap from Crafter Blue

Post by SethR » Sun Jan 20, 2019 9:35 am

I’m a big fan of Crafter Blue’s fitted lug straps. Here are photos of the new one for the Tudor Pelagos.

I’ve got one of these (just came) for a Pelagos that I no longer have. If anyone is interested let me know.

I’ve had one on my pelagos for a week. I wish the rubber flared out from the lugs a bit more. The way it is - it pinches the sides of my wrist and does not allow the watch to sit comfortably on the top of my wrist.

really disappointed as I have been looking forward to this release for a long time.

Side note - 20mm isofrane keepers work perfectly with this strap and are way better than the metal keeper.

What are your wrist sizes? I’m thinking this will be too small on my 8”

I'm a hair under 7" and I cut a lot off my Crafter Blue Pelagos strap (don't like tail sticking up too far; works fine for me cut). Thinking it would likely be more than fine for 8" wrist.

Thanks fellas.

It’s not just the tail, it’s the length of each piece. When I wore straps during my Panerai phase, I liked 140/85 or 135/90 even better.

The buckle side needs to be at least 85 on most straps otherwise it doesn’t come close to centering.

Good point, something I never worry/think about as usually straps are too long for me if anything.

Quick measurement shows buckle side rubber the better part of 78mm. Total length to the end of the buckle is around 95mm.

Thanks. I little short for my taste.

I was about to buy one for the black bay... someone said the Pelagos version fits the black bay but no pics so I’d be afraid to buy it from you without knowing for sure.

Anyway, if anyone can confirm, I’d appreciate it

I have been putting off getting one during the holidays. If yours is still available, I will take it.

I had the same issue with my Seiko MM, SKX, and Sumo. I think if you have a larger wrist it might be the issue? I don't know but it pulled the hair on my wrist more than and old Spediel bracelet.
