Laurent Ferrier's Bridge One

Post by AtomicTom » Tue Jan 15, 2019 11:10 am

Guys, we don't seem to touch on rectangular watches much today, but
thought this new one from Laurent Ferrier was interesting, and might
remind you of watches you, your dads, or even grandfathers may have
had years ago.

It's the Bridge One which has this unique stainless rectangle case which
measures 30mm x 44mm, and is evidently inspired by a bridge that is
is Geneva named the Passerelle de l'Ile. In addition the manual winding
LF107.01 caliber movement looks to have been shaped specifically for
the shape of the case.

Just a few of the many other specifications looking to include white
enamel, or slate gray dials with sleek hands, and markers, and Roman
numerals, tinted sapphire crystals, 30m WR, and cool honey leather, or
alligator straps everyone.

Just a few pictures...

This is a LF I can't get behind. Looks like a Bulgari Assioma.

when it starts with "Laurent", you must expect it to be priced as a luxury good.
while i typically lust over the entire lf model line, i'm with zack on this one...

Or really any other rectangular watch that nobody wants. If it isn't a Cartier Tank or JLC Reverso, it probably is as desirable as herpes. This goes for Rolex (Cellini Prince), Patek (Gondolo), Lange (Cabaret), etc...

I am, however, impressed that you know what a Bvlgari Assioma was. I had to Google that one, and even after seeing it, didn't recognize it at all. :fro:

This one is a swing and a miss from LF.

Crazy, I had never looked at these.

What about the gem encrusted one where a tourbillon spring opens up the baguette diamond and sapphire dial to expose another dial... Bananas.

Eric, just was noticing too about that one that it had the
small seconds with it. While the white dial version actually
doesn't. ..Just is a really cool contrast overall with that
one sir. So glad you liked it !

But yeah guys, totally get what you are saying about the
price, and everything. That's why have just become happy
with seeing the pictures, and reading about watches like
these.

When the watch shows start though it seems to get
really get crazy. But it's still a lot of fun !

Something about the Gondolo i've always loved.

But 1) It would never suit me, and 2) I could never afford one. Thanks for having me!
