I think you might be able to get some glow under a black light if some pervert got some alone time with it.

Re: SIHH 2019
Who buys these watches? Creepy rich old men?
Re: SIHH 2019
There was that guy on TRF who would point at different hotel toilets with his Rolex on. Someone asked him why he does that and he said, “that’s how I get my jollies.”
I imagine his breed would buy these.

Nah, that's Norman Fell, I.e. Mister Roper.
Re: SIHH 2019
Yeah, they're borderline creepy and in wildly subjective taste, but I feel like these UN watches have been presented entirely without context throughout the show. And while that's not entirely unfair given the content, by the time I got to the booth, I found it quite cool that each of them is actually a miniaturized panel from a larger story (it's about a woman who goes out to sea and then gets obviously seduced/eaten out by a mermaid). Of the ten watches in the series, only three of them are the more explicit dials that you've probably seen everywhere already.
I have to say, while the whole 'erotic watch' thing isn't for me (hell, it's not for a lot of folks), after seeing them in person, it's hard not to respect the insane detail and artistry involved (the comics were translated from full prints to the handpainted watch dials by UN's micro-artists). Also, the original artist Milo Manara is apparently sort of a legend in comic book circles, and while his work obviously ain't for everyone, it's hard to deny how cool some of it is. Here's a helmet and corresponding comic he designed for MotoGP racer Valentino Rossi:
