Awesome Men’s Trading Beads Bracelet by One of Our Own

Post by Blaine » Thu Jan 10, 2019 3:47 pm

Hello all. One of the DWCer’s, Ben McGraw, has created some really awesome bracelets and other jewelry for both men and women. I love to see fellow DWCer’s efforts in creating some really awesome products.

The one I now own, is rich with history and of course all are unique and have their own stories to tell I am sure.

Here are the type of beads I have on mine:

From the whitetail antler outward. Hudson Bay chevron Venetian glass beads. Sky blue padre Venetian glass beads. Cherokee stone pisgah culture beads. And a Cherokee stone bead for the clasp. The oldest beads are probably the Cherokee clasp and white pisgah stone beads.....250-300 years old. All are real fur trade beads.

Mine is perfectly balanced on the wrist and incredible craftsmanship. Extremely comfortable as well.

Most of you know Ben and certainly he can talk more about his craft.

That looks great. Got a site, Ben?

Thank you guys. I don’t have a website. Just sort of word of mouth at this point. Here are a few other pieces.

I really like the first one pictured and might want one for a pal whose Step-Dad was Native American. What's the loop catch/stopper made from? Stone?

Makes me wish I knew where in the hell I put all my Grandfather's Ivory Elk Teeth to send to you. :crybaby:

Thanks! Yes, the keeper is a Cherokee stone bead. Let me know if I can make one for your friend.
