Like Joe, the Hamilton Chrono is also on the list, but I find the chronograph function more academically interesting than practical for my timing purposes.
I really really want a panda dial watch... I don't use the chronometer function on my Speedy that much either, the Hammy is just beautiful to look at. If you like square cases, this Longines also looks nice (but I prefer the Hamilton):

Also, my ADD might kick in and cause me to purchase a new MT bike (Erik is convincing me on the fat tire utility) or a new surfboard, so I never really know how the year will shape up.
Anything that takes you outside is better than buying a watch

I just want to see some new watches that get me excited about watches again.
Ive always wanted an FP Journe though, need to find a way to get a black label without dropping $ on another watch at the boutique...
... also find a way to earn enough money to get an FP Journe watch

I had the FPJ CB before the hype took it into the stratosphere, and I wouldn’t rebuy it. It was an okay watch with unreal service costs.

Yeah I would not pay aftermarket prices for one. Realistically I'd just go put my name on the list for a Chronometre Bleu and just wait. If I ever get it at retail, in the chance I fall out of love with it, I can at least get my money back.

Good luck! You, me, and many, many others. Either that or the 126660 with blue dial and I’m ready to go. Alas, Rolex doesn’t want to sell me a watch.

with all the expenses i have right now (divorces are expensive because they're worth it
) my goals were simple and cheap. 3 days into the new year, i'm good to go with Rob's solar golden tuna

I've got a few family trips planned this year (taking the crew back to HI and then to Ireland) so I'll be on a bit of a budget regarding my watch war chest. I'll need to do some spring cleaning prior to making any big purchases. Also, my ADD might kick in and cause me to purchase a new MT bike (Erik is convincing me on the fat tire utility) or a new surf board, so I never really know how the year will shape up.
we need to go for a ride soon so you can try it out. you will forget about a new surfboard after that. honestly, the only reason i'm keeping the 29er now is for on-road stuff with my kids.. fatbike tires are
expensive

Well, grail achieved today! That was crazy - made a call and they just happened to have one. Done for 2019. Better pics and post to come. Love it.

Thank you! Was on the wait list for about 9 months and just happened to get lucky when I made the call. Had zero expectations.
Ha! The wallet took a heavy hit for sure. Going to be some watches on the FS forum soon to help out. Couldn’t turn it down though. Especially once I saw it in person - pictures do not do the dial justice.
They do have the standard dial Deepsea in the case right now if anyone is interested.

I cut waaay back in 2018, due in no small part to some serious family issues etc. That’s all sorted, now, so I am in a rebuilding phase. It’s actually kind of liberating, because the collection is a bit of a clean slate.
I was among the first on the list for the BB GMT, and finally got mine in November.
For 2019:
Omega’s new SMP ( got it last week )
Nomos Club Neomatic
Some flavor of IWC, probably 3777
Rolex in 36-39mm format, likely an ExpI

How do you like the new SMP? I want to check it out. Likely the black or blue. while I was on vacation this week I looked around to see if I could find one to try on but none of the places around me were Omega dealers.

I'll just use this opportunity to say hello DWC. I'm boringly content with my BB58, wearing it pretty much every day, and have no plans to buy anything else. That can always change, but for the moment I'm set.

Will probably just try to enjoy the hobby more in general.
Then because there are so many watches, and so little time,
will be in spontaneous mode in picking anything up in 2019
guys.
