Halios Seaforth grey w bracelet

Post by ericf4 » Sun Dec 02, 2018 6:09 am

Nice halios. If I weren't over the brand due to their selling practices and some quality issues I've heard of, I would have been all over this one.

I've heard a number of people talk about various generations of that model with sticky bezels or sticky winding those sorts of things.

It is like any company, they have an issue here and there. It isn't all of the watches that have an issue. Luckily Jason backs up all of his products with great service. So there is no worries about getting them fixed.

That was my thought and experience too but Eric seem to say there were quality issues beyond normal I guess. I was surprised.

On the latest release a few guys had a misaligned dial marker. And some said the rotor was loud. Which happens when you have a thin caseback. Other than that I haven't heard much. Considering I think around 500 (my guess) watches were sold mainly to forum people I am sure we would have heard more crying if there was issues. Just my .02

Loud rotor isn’t a quality issue imho.
Haven’t really heard of issues myself. Have owned 4 and no quality issues on my side.

My Gen3 bezel was gritty / not smooth (worst of any I’ve owned) but I haven’t handled any of his others to compare. Since it rotates and aligns, I assume it wouldn’t be a warranty issue.

The edge of the bezel teeth on my 1st generation were very sharp. That has been corrected on the new version.

i saw on Reddit someone talking about misalignment, bezel and date windows on the Gen iii. I had a Gen ii and it was spot on in all respects.

I would love to see that Ginault bracelet installed.

Scroll thru this ad and you will see it. It is not a perfect fit but it is a nice bracelet. But it is a direct copy of the Rolex version. So I won't buy it.
