A couple of new UTS LEs

Post by logan2z » Fri Nov 16, 2018 6:58 pm

Looks like UTS has two new LEs of the 1000m V2 - one with an Anthracite dial and one with an eye-searing orange dial (can that really be what the color looks like?), both with no date:

Pricing seems to be available by request only

I missed out on a blue dial recently and regret not jumping on it before it sold. Of these, I really like the anthracite. Orange doesn’t seem right for this watch IMO.

I don’t know if that orange is for real. I’ve never seen something that made me squint like I did with that pic. Has to be bad photo editing.

Never thought I’d see blaze orange on a dial. Matches my hunting vest :)

Broken record, but I wish he’d deviate from those lugs.

I’ve owned my share of UTS, but I’ll never buy one brand new. Pricing is ambitious, to say the least.

Just checked an email from a couple of years ago. He wanted $2,750 for the 1000m and $4,250 for the 3000m.

A lesson in how not to do an orange dial.

That bright orange with white does not work. It looks like something that fell of a roadside rescue truck. The other one is nice though.

There's nothing about either one of these I like, and I especially dislike those lugs.

I happen to love the lugs. They fit an Isofrane perfectly.

I enjoyed my 2000m on Isofrane and the OEM rubber strap. And of course the lugs aren't really noticeable when wearing the watch on the bracelet. The downside for me was the tuna can thickness. Really well made watches, though, I might consider a 1000m v2 at some point.

Anthracite is cool--back in the day I had a 500M PVD black that was pretty cool...
