Re: WRUW 8 November 18
This little warrior showed up on my front doorstep yesterday. Original, one owner, estate sale find first gen. 7002-7009 from 1990. Lume still glows and has a nice grey patina to it. The OEM GL-831 that Larry so graciously offered me will be installed to complete it...
Excitement turned to concern once it was in my hands as I found the bezel was seized!? Called the seller. We chatted for an hour. Very nice guy who owns an antique store in upstate New York. He offered me a $50 refund which made the overall cost a real bargain.
So I went ahead and removed the bezel which took some effort and this is what I find...
It had been glued on in multiple spots! :-/
Cleaned it up and got it rotating again and have new Gaskets and a Hardlex replacement crystal on the way to get it tip top.
