EBEL's new Discovery 200m

Post by AtomicTom » Tue Nov 06, 2018 10:40 am

Did everyone have a chance to see this new Discovery that looks to be in
the works?

It looks like it's going to be a Baselworld in 2019, and will be adding a Swiss
automatic movement into the mix. Then you have a 41mm stainless steel
case, 200 meter water resistance, a sapphire crystal, silver, or black dials,
plus stainless steel bracelet, or rubber strap also.

Have a couple pictures...

I do like it, but don’t really care for the screws in the case. I think the white looks great on the strap.

I had an Ebel and it was a very nice watch.

Good looking Discovery. Not sure about the case screws either though.

I used to sell Ebel watches, and have owned several. One of those brands that fly under the radar and go largely unnoticed despite producing some nice pieces. Especially the GP 3300 based Ebel 330 movement equipped 1911, and the 1911 chronos with El Primero based and Ebel cal. 137 (Lemania 1350 based) movements.

Count me among the skeptical about the case screws, but isn't that Ebel's move? Every model I can think of has them

Oh neat, the bronze version really changes gears Roger. Thanks very much
