Blancpain Bathyscaphe Chronograph Bucherer Blue Edition

Post by logan2z » Fri Oct 19, 2018 10:13 am

Looks like they blended the blue case and the blue dial from two different Bathyscaphe chronographs together here. There's some minor changes to the dial, like a radial cut around the perimeter, and a 'Bucherer' branded rotor, but otherwise the watch is the same as the previous versions. However, this version of the watch is not a limited edition.

I still think the all black edition of this watch is the one to have.

Interesting. I was not a huge fan of the blued case on a previous LE bathy I saw a couple years ago in Vegas, but it was in part because the dial was still grey. I think the blued case would eventually get old, but I definitely like this better., including the change to the dial. Of course, I have three blue dial/bezel Blancpains right now so not really in the market.

As much as I love this watch, this one’s a hard pass for me. Not a fan at all of the blue case.

That's... um, an awful lot of blue.

That watch makes me blue. Besides the price! The minute hand doesn't extend far enough to the markers. The minute hand and hour in my opinion are to closely the same size. And the markers are way to tiny for that case making it look really funky.

That is really something Andrew ! ..Feels totally timeless, and classic at first glance,
and then you see the edgy blue finish. Definitely isn't going to be for everyone, that's
for sure. But is interesting to see at least. Really appreciate the look. Thanks sir !!!
