New Omega Seamaster Diver 300M Co Axial

Post by jimyritz » Thu Oct 11, 2018 8:27 am

Here you go with the new Omega Seamaster Diver 300M co-axial,

The good-Ton of features in this piece for under 5K.
So much better in person...for me really like the light and dark gray dial depending on light w/the blue hands..
The bracelet is excellent....micro adjustment in clasp... the ceramic bezel....

The not so good- dial may not be everyone's cuppa, no half link, date window can be tough to read in certain light.

Hell of a lot of watch for the money – between this and the Railmaster, I'd say that Omega has two of the biggest bang-for-buck watches in the segment when it comes to features, innovation and history.

Congrats, looks great - that version has really grown on me. I really like it on rubber too, but when I saw that the bracelet version is only $150 more (Canadian dollars) it would be hard to justify not going that way initially then adding the rubber if you still wanted.

That looks nice! I saw the black and blue version at the Omega store but not this one. I bet that color even looks better in person. The wife really fell in love with the black dial but hated the blue dial.

Thanks- the black is nice-blue dial is nice if you wear it on the bracelet. It might be too much blue on rubber.

Congrats Mike!

I wish the minute track was continuous, but I like the watch overall and wouldn’t mind owning one.

This is yet another example of people judging a watch before actually seeing it, just as happens with pretty much every Seiko. The old “photos don’t do it justice” saying definitely applies here.

I dig it.

Thanks Ed, thousand times better in person but I get it if some don't like the dial.

I like it, as well as several other new offerings from the brand, but just wish there was the option for a solid caseback - glass backs are a deal breaker for me.
Regards

Steve

Only watch I've ever regretted selling was my 2254.50, this reminds me of this but a better version. Also hope it's more obtainable than most stainless Rolex sports models and Omega sell a gazilllion.

Great watch you have there Mike, if Omega could come up with a cool GMT to compete with the new Pepsi that would be nice.
Strength is = 2 or > than "tipping over a so- called smart car plastered in “Coexist” bumper stickers".

No, I think I am getting old and for scuba diving I really need bigger handsets with bigger lume. But it is very personal, so the Planet Ocean is a better choice to me on that hands point. But again very personal, It is a very nice watch.

Yes I've found the skeleton hands to always be a point of love/hate on this model going way back... I'm sure it's emphasized if using for diving too!

I love the handset on the PO too - especially the 2500 series. I kinda miss mine.
