We've all read the stupid threads in WUS and elsewhere about whether their 1000M dive watch can safely be worn in the shower or a hot tub, etc. Having done those activities dozens of times with a host of different watches without a problem, I've always dismissed these naysayers as nut jobs.
But I happened upon a youtube video about the RESCO Manus that was made by the owner - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L88Gi9bk-6M
At about 3:50 into it, he says his 200M dive watch's gaskets can't adjust to the heat quickly enough to accommodate a hot tub, and the watch will fog. Guess RESCO is on my permanent "Never Buy" list....

Re: Hot Tubs Again?
It makes sense, especially if the outside temp is really cold.
None of us would run our car hard, heating up our brakes, and then throw cold water on them. Seems to follow the same principle.
